Card Printers
Card printers are compact and durable machines specially designed to produce custom cards. Often including logos, text and an identifying picture, ID cards are the most common application for which card printers are used. ID cards not only increase security, they can also build company branding or school spirit.
Some machines are capable of lamination and dual-sided printing. For additional security, select models can also encode smart cards and magnetic stripe cards. Using contact or contactless technology to communicate with readers, encoded cards are often used for access control and to track attendance. Other available security features include barcodes, watermarks and UV ink.
In addition to providing identification, common card applications include membership to gyms, loyalty programs and gift cards. With the increasing popularity of card programs, card printers are playing an important role in many businesses and organizations.
